Go Go Went Gone

This weekend will surely be an interesting weekend.

I will be going to Estonia with the people from my working place. On friday we're going to have an educational evening, followed by a dinner at The Beer House, sounds promising doesn't it.
Then we will have some free time on saturday to stroll around in Tallinn.
Those of you who know Finns, or if you are a Finn yourself, also know that Finns tend to drink a lot, and I really don't drink that much at all. So it will be interesting to see what will happend, and how the trip will turn out.
It will certainly be an interesting weekend, and a fun one also, I hope.

But if the trip really turns out to be a nightmare, I at least get to unwind on Saturday evening as I will meet up with my dear friend Cicka. And on Sunday I will meet my older sister for lunch. So I think it will be a good weekend all in all. If I'm really lucky I'll also get to meet Dankku. There is just so little time to do so much.

And I will miss my wife and baby so much during this trip. It's the first time I have been away for so long that I do not come home in the evening, and it will be the first time Aron won't see me for a whole day, and it will even be two and almost three whole days. I guess he will miss dady, it's hard to know how a 5 months old baby experiences things like these.

Well, wish me a good weekend and I'll wish you a good one as well!

God bless!

Is This The Way It Is

Have my fears come true? Was blogging just yet another hype trend among my firends that I was dragged into? There seems to be alot of these things on the net, forums, communities and now blogs. First everyone joins and drags everyone along with them, then the people who first started quit and leaves us other poor people out here all alone.

So many have stopped blogging, so few blogs are ever updated. Why, oh why?

But don't worry folks, I'll keep blogging for quite a while still. So keep on reading.

And if you have nothing else to do, check out a webzine I write metal reviews for.

Glory Glory Hallelujah

I just thought about what an awesome life I get to live. Sure, life isn't always happy and joyfull, it is sometimes tough and really, really hard, and there's always things you can bitch, moan and complain about. But when I look at everything I've been blessed with I cannot do anything else than praise Jesus.

I have a great job, not maybe the most fantastic, but when I looked closer upon my situation I realized that I have exactly what I wished for. It is a job that doesn't inrude on my spare time, I don't have to take it home with me, and I can listen to music while I work. Fantastic.

I have a home, a wife, almost an education, friends, a great church to go to, and the greatest little baby in the world!

Man, I am so blessed.

The King Was Here

medium_DSCN0023x.JPG
The Swedish king was here in Vaasa this week!

I didn’t get to see him though. I had other things to do, but Tanja took some pictures of him for me.

There were lot of policemen and militaries everywhere, it was cool and different.

Now it’s getting colder again and autumn is soon upon us.

Prepare with tea and cookies.

Shades Of Grey

medium_14092006x.jpg
Ok, I was going to eat at a chineese place with my little sister the other day when we passed a school. The building was grey, and in front of it there were about ten cars parked in a row, and they were all grey!

At that moment I decided to never buy a grey car, and if it for some reason happens to be grey, I’ll paint it!

These grey juppy trends…

Me And Us

medium_DSCN0063.JPG
At the moment I am working and going to school. I am working with road planning and engineering at the government owned corporation Tieliikelaitos. I am still in the same school, The Swedish Polytechnic, going on my last year trying to finish my studies. Which isn’t all that easy, and I suppose it isn’t meant to be easy either.

Tanja is still at home with Aron, who is growing more and more for each day. He now eats a lot of different fruits and vegetables, such as blueberries, potatoes, carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, zucchini, rosehip, and soon he will also start eating banana. Tanja is being the best, and most beautiful, mother around, she is so loving and amazing, both with me and Aron. She has really done a wonderful job getting our life as parents going. She is at the moment trying to figure out how she is going to finish her studies. We have been thinking about me taking some days off being home with Aron while Tanja works with her studies, but that would cost us about 60€ for one day, so it takes some thinking over.

Aron can now turn around on his stomach and push himself up, and turn a bit in a circle, but after a while he usually just gets frustrated lying on his stomach. He also, erh… What’s the word used when babys make a blrblrblrblr sound with their tongues and the drool just flies all over the place? Well, that’s what he’s doing at the moment.

It is a different time we are going through in our lives at the moment, going from being on our own to having to be a real family taking care of a small baby. We are still figuring out how much social life we can handle, we try to be out meeting people, visiting people and inviting people over and all these things that we find important, but it also makes one very tired. So some days we just stay at home, because the days go so fast, especially for me it seems. I come home after work at about 5, say hello to the wife and the baby, being a bit silly with the baby. Then we prepare food, and after the food and dishes are done we usually go out, either for a walk or to the town to do some shopping. After that the clock is about 7-8, then we try to meet some people, but sometimes it’s just home for some evening tea and then it’s already time for brushing teeth and stuff.

I always get to bed way too late and then rise way too early in the morning. And that can be hard as I love sleeping.

That’s us. We love you all!

I just want to say that our friends are so important to us, and we think you all are wonderful!

Lot’s of hugs to all of you out there!

High-Tech Fed Up

medium_6630-4.jpg
Today I am so fed up by technology, there’s just too much of it, and too little that actually works the least in the way it is supposed to.

My phone is broken again, or actually it is not broken it is simple malfunctioning. Sometimes it just freezes and gets stuck, and I can’t even turn it off, and this happens about once every hour. Sometimes it looks ok, all systems and programs work and there is no suspicion of evil high-tech rebellion, but beneath the calm surface everything is chaos, no one can call me, no messages will be received, I will be unavailable even though I think I’m perfectible reachable.

This sucks.

And what’s worse is that I had it sent away on service some time ago and I just received it, and it still has the same freaking problem! And it was away for two months. After one week I called them and asked if it had come back yet, and all I got was a short hacked answer that I WILL receive a message when the phone comes back, and that I do NOT need to call them. After tree weeks I visited the shop and asked if my phone had come yet, again I got a short and rather annoyed answer that I WILL receive a message when the phone comes and that I do NOT need to come and ask for it, so I didn’t. I did not ask for it for two months. After two months I got tired of waiting so I called again, and what do you know! It had arrived, but they had the wrong number so I had not been notified.

I am growing so tired of this. I actually do have better things to do.

And now I have to go back there, saying that the phone they fixed still has the same problem.

What’s best is that all my numbers disappear every time I go and send it away to be fixed. I know there are good ways to store the numbers on the computer and so on, but that doesn’t change the fact that I sat two days writing in 290 numbers in the phone that then just disappeared without anyone noticing me about the need to a backup or something.

I hate cell phones at the moment.
