Aron's New Pal Pablo
Pablo is cool, he can sit but he is still limp as a noodle and cuddly as a teddy-bear.
Pablo also has a real "metal-gut", as in a round nice stomache usually found on guys that listens to metal, Aron's dad being one example.
Aron and Pablo are still getting to know each other, I hope this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

Weekend Writings

We drove down to Kristiinankaupunki for the weekend to visit my parents. I got off work early to be able to go to the bank to pick up my new bank card, but we arrived 15 min too late and the doors were locked.
But when we got to my parent's place, we got some incredible food, as always when we pay a visit to my parents, and everything was good again.
In the late evening we started to watch a film, that was rather bad, with John Travolta. After a while into the movie, the whole house went dark, and we realized that the electricity had gone. We all rejoyced and brought out candles that we lit and a monopoly game, and then we sat there playing monopoly until late in the night in the light of burning candles. That was comfy indeed.
On saturday Aron woke us up early with his usual good, über entuciastic, mood. I got up with him, leaving mommy to sleep for a while longer. Made breakfast for me and Tanja, and then sat down on a couch, with Aron on the floor, and watched a Asterix movie from '68 that I got on my birthday. After a while Arons grandmother woke up and started playing with him. It was a good start of the day.
In the evening the house got invaded by relatives who came for dinner and to see the baby. It was nice, a lot of people and good food. At one point my sister convinced me to come out and make some snow-angels in the snow. There was not much snow, but the angels turned out nicely.
On sunday we got up, ate breakfast, took a shower and ate again and headed back to Vaasa.
We drove directly to church and the sunday service, and it was great! Lots of great people, some people from a lokal newspaper, an American I had not met before, a child's blessing, and all cool things.
After the service we drove to Tanjas parents church to attend a concert they had there. It was nice, a lot of people form Angola and so on. More food after the concert was consumed.
After all that we finally came home, read some emails and headed off to bed.
It was a good weekend, but I am oh so tired!
Hope you had a great weekend as well!

Daydreams
I'll start by explaining the picture of Max Cavalera. From the time that I was a small boy all the way to high-school, or secondary blaha whatever school, he was my role model. He was cool, humble and made great music. And as many other kids I dreamt of becoming a rock-star, sometimes I still find myself doing that. But with no musical talent whatsoever I am slowly realizing that I will never become a rockstar.
The daydreams I still carry with me would be to become either a full time comic artist, or an author. I imagine I would enjoy both occupations immensely. But! To become either you need to start out early, practice like a maniac, and have some talent for it. Then you also need a fantastic imagination. I may have some talent, I have some imagination, but it feels like it's getting too late to start doing either. But it's always nice to have dreams.
Soo, back to reality and take a look around, as was once said in an Insane Clown Posse song. I am today 23 years old. I am married to a wonderful woman. I have a wonderful son. I have a good job. I have almost completed a rather hard education. I am somewhat healthy, depending on who you compare me with. I have great family surrounding me, have you ever heard about nightmare-parents-in-law? Well, my parent in laws are just the greatest!
Well, to sum it up. My life is rather satisfactory, don't take this the wrong way now. I am happy. I have everything I need. Maybe my daydreams just are a part of my perfect life! =)
So, now, when I have realized that my life is all it has to be, I have only one thing left to do. The purpose with my whole existance and life, to serve God. But that is also a tricky part, with daydreams of one would like to do and what one in reality actually do, and third, what God actually wants me to do.
But on the whole, life is exciting.
PS. My next post will most probably be about tattoos! Stay tuned!

To Air Is Human
One Man's Quest to Become
the World's Greatest Air Guitarist
For my birthday I got an interesting-looking book by my dear friends Jimmy and Sini. It is written by Björn Turoque, pronounced as B-yooorn To-RAWK. It is about air guitar and Björns quest to become the best air-guitarist in the world.
It seems like playing air guitar has become a complicated artform of itself. And I haven't start reading the book yet, but it sure seems to be interesting!
“Björn Türoque is so good that people with real guitars now have contests to see who can do the best
imitation of his air guitar imitation.”
—Malcolm Gladwell, author of Blink & The Tipping Point
"In To Air Is Human, Dan Crane (nom d’air Björn Türoque) does for the air-guitar world what George Plimpton’s gonzo-journalism Paper Lion did for football....Beneath the Nietzsche quotes, laced-up leather pants and obsessive pop-culture asides, Türoque emerges as a sympathetic sage. "
—TimeOut New York
Will be an interesting read indeed, will let you know more when I'm finnished!
BTW, the World Championships in Air Guitar takes place in Finland! Ouh, Yeah! m/ (",) m/

Aron Goes Pizza
Aron ate pizza for the first time in his life this Sunday. He was a bit suspicious at first, but then ate a whole Capricciosa...
No, just kidding. He was just sucking on the edges. =)
Well, they told us he is weighs too little. Now we can tell them that we are getting him fat by feeding him pizza.

Aron got his first potty ever! And he rather seemed to enjoy it also. =)
Now he only has to learn how to use it.
And maybe learn how to sit first.
And learn not to hold on to it after he's done.

First Snow
Last friday we had the first snow coming down covering the whole landscape in white. It was nice, it was cold, it stirred up a lot of feelings inside of me. Both bad and good.
But nonetheless it's the first snow.

Happy Birthday Party
...to me!Yes, my birthday party came and went. I cooked 10 liters of wok for about 25 people. It was a fun time, even if I ran around like a headless chicken and only got the chance to exchange a few words with every person. There were some people that i don't get see that often also, and it was great having them over.
Even Aron had some friends come over, they don't really pay that much attention to each others yet, but there is communication going on, like stealing erh.. Nappies, Pacifiers? Those things that keep babies silent?
Well, it all went great and it was all fun!

A Friendly Visit In Vasa
Yesterday I got to hang out with Dankku, who is in Vasa for a couple of days.
It was great, we ate, drank coffee and strolled around in the city center.
I have seldom experienced time going so fast just by walking around looking at cd's and movies and stuff.
And I got to listen to a new great band, Evergrey. Got to check them out some more.
Today it is snowing in Vasa and it is cold as in a freezer. But it's all cool, as I get to wear my new cool autumn-/winterjacket.
I'm tired, but it has still been a good day so far. I guess we are going for a pizza with Tanjas parents sometime after work. That'll be good. I haven't had a pizza at Marco Polo for quite some while now, and I hope that is the place we'll go to today.
Didn't get a pic off Dankku, so I just stole one from his Photoblog. =)
Tomorrow's my birthday party. It will be exciting as I sent 30 sms with my new number that no-one has got yet, so 30 people have received an invitation by a stranger to a party. It will be interesting to see if any people will come at all.
Wish me a happy birthday, the 23:rd, and send me a gift! =)

The Half Year Old
He hasn't started crawling yet, but he lifts up himself really good and spins around like a compass, depending on the surface he's on.
He eats a lot of different foods now, even meat, but he doesn't eat all that much, so he still is skinny as a twig, I guess that it's just the way he is.
He makes a lot of funny noices, but sometimes he's just really quiet, like every time we pull out the video camera, then he's suddenly totally... Erh, is dumb the right word, english is such a weird language.
Time has truly flown. Everything goes so fast. And we're never bored. =)

It Works!
I just have to inform everyone who has read about my cellphone problems, that the thing now actually works as it should!
It's problem free, neat and nice.
I love Nokia! They make nice working phones with great design. And they boost the finnish economy!
It is the greatest phone ever.
...Was that good enough?...
...Could you please put down that steel rod now?...
Nah, just kidding. I'm really glad that it finally is fixed and works. Although the road was long, harsh and frustrating.

Tagged Challenge
I got tagged, or challenged or whatever you would like to call it, by Dankku. A challenge or taggetation is something that happens in the world of blogs, someone writes some kind of questions or something and answears them and then challenges or tags someone else to do the same.
I got four words that I should reflect on, just write down what comes to mind when I read these words, I think.
HURT
Love, Loss, Life, Humans, Feeilng, Music, Pain.
CASH
Johnny Cash, Materialism, Evil, Me Wants Loads of it!, Necessery problems, Necessity, Dirty, Change, Trade, Market, Never Enough, Happy Without, Camel and the eye of the needle.
HUMANITY
Sick, Fallen, Stupid, Lost, Hope, Fear, Complex, Culture.
STRESS
Argh!, Gnnnh!, Too Much, Kills Me, Hate it, Can do without, Burn Out, Evil, Noseblood.
That's my contribution.
I would like to tag the following people: Dadde, Ida, Cherie, Jimmy, Jake, Jesca, Carina and uhm... No, that's them. If you've already been tagged by someone, you can forget my tagnation, take on some one elses taggadation instead. =)
My four words to you:
CLOTHES, PLASTIC, FAMILY, CHURCH

Why Can't It Just Work Properly?
My phone is still going on my nerves. I would not like to put down this much energy and time on something that should be so simple. I just want to have a phone that works as it should, and if it doesn’t work as it should I would still want to be able to call and send/receive messages with it.
Since my last nag-post we have been writing a reclamation and the phone has been on service again. This time they finally found out that it is not just a software problem but actually a hardware problem, but before they found this out I had to go to a different service-point. They checked it out immediately and saw that it had not been updated properly, so they updated it but it still didn’t work properly so they sent it away, and when it came back I had a whole new phone, still with the old shell but inside it all the hardware was new.
Now to the problem, as it is an über-cellphone I can take pictures with it and do all kind of data related stuff, now this of course demands a link to a computer, which is a totally normal common USB cable. This did work without problem before with my non-functioning phone, but now it’s just dead, no contact, no communication what so ever between the cell phone and the computer… And I who had taken so many cool pics for the blog.
The worst part is that the first time I put it away on service I forgot to do a backup of the phone on my computer, so when I got it back all of my 219 numbers, that I had spent two days writing in to the phone, were gone. Well that was all my fault for not doing a backup, even though no-one told me to do so either.
Ok, well now I know better, but this time I can’t do a backup as the cell phone won’t connect with the computer! And this time I again spent two days getting all numbers into my phone.
So I will try to figure this one out before I send it away for service, once again…
This is BAD PR for Nokia, putting out BAD products on the markets is BAD PR for the company.
BTW, I also found out why I had not been able to send it to the same service point again! It turns out that a service point can only fix a phone once on the guarantee, then it needs to work because Nokia won’t pay a second bill. So, that’s why they sent me to the next place, which by the way was much better with better service, although the phone isn’t working as it should yet.
However, I will try to reinstall all programs on my PC and try to get some communication working between the cell and the comp before going there and complain again.
Have a good day! At least now I’m able to use the phone!

Positive Black Metal MTV Pimp My Ride Aye

Oh Yeah!
Pimp My Ride goes black metal!
Ok, there is a Christian metal forum on the net that is called Endtime Productions Board, and I have been an active user of these boards the last year. On this forum there are a lot of Christian metal heads and among them there were these guys called Emil and Jonas from a band called Admonish.
One day one of them posted a prayer subject regarding them having applied to the Pimp My Ride International show, they thought it would be fun to get on the show, and get an awesome car as well. So people prayed, and guess what? They and their Audi 80L -73 was chosen for the show.
I think this is just awesome. I missed the show on MTV as it was aired one week earlier in Finland than in the rest of Scandinavia, for some weird reason. But I got it from other sources, and it was so funny to watch.
I hope this will result in much good, for the guys, who are twins by the way, for their band and also that people will somehow in all this get a piece of the gospel.
Here’s Pimp My Ride International’s website:
www.pimpmyrideint.com
Here’s the website of Admonish (The twins band):
www.admonish.org
Here is a link where you can find the show streamed on-line, at least I think so, haven’t tried it out myself:

And if you want to download the episode in full, contact me and I’ll supply you with the necessary details.

Joy Of Music

And I also realize how boring it would be without anyone to share good music with.
Today I want to present an amazing band to you: SHADOW GALLERY
They are a progressive, melodic, metalband that are Christians, and they have very interesting and good lyrics. Their cd's are like a journey. And they tend to get greater for each listening.
It's times like these I miss having Dankku around, he if someone should check this band out.
Enjoy!

Back In... Blue?

I'm back from Tallinn and Helsinki and all other places I've been during the weekend, which by the way went great!
The part with my working buddies went much better than I had ever been able to expect. Seems I had misjudged some of them, as most of them behaved really good. We had a great time and the place called The Beerhouse was the funniest restaurant I've ever been in, lots and lots of lederhoosen and BIG piles of food!
The hotell was nice and the educational part was short and rather fun, and actually really educating, now I know what my working-title actually stands for.
Well, then after a great time in Tallinn I was really tired, and it was nice to be met by Cicka, whose blog is put down, and Micko. They had come by car, so I didn't have to drag my bags around the whole of Helsinki. We rented three movies, one that sucked, one that was good, and one that was funny. After that I got to bed.
On sunday I woke up quite early, showered, ate breakfast, then played some X-Box while Cicka and Micko ate their breakfast. Then I headed to town to get my luggage into a locker at the trainstation so I could go have lunch with my sister. We went to a Turkish place which had some really excellent food and nice sofas to sit in while eating. After eating we met up with my sisters boyfriend who had bought the smallest car in the world, a Fiat 126, and it was brightly yellow and blue, and not just on the outside, the whole of the inside was also brightly blue and yellow, except for the speed-meter, which was pink. I swear that I have never seen bright-blue leather interiation in a car before...
And then back to Vaasa with the 16:00 train. It was rainy and cold and I didn't have any keys and Tanja and Aron were at Tanja's mother's place. So I had to stand under the car-roof for a while. But it was worth it all when I got to see my fantastic family once again.
Ok, hope you had a great weekend as well! God bless you all!
