Aron's New Pal Pablo
Pablo is cool, he can sit but he is still limp as a noodle and cuddly as a teddy-bear.
Pablo also has a real "metal-gut", as in a round nice stomache usually found on guys that listens to metal, Aron's dad being one example.
Aron and Pablo are still getting to know each other, I hope this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

Weekend Writings

We drove down to Kristiinankaupunki for the weekend to visit my parents. I got off work early to be able to go to the bank to pick up my new bank card, but we arrived 15 min too late and the doors were locked.
But when we got to my parent's place, we got some incredible food, as always when we pay a visit to my parents, and everything was good again.
In the late evening we started to watch a film, that was rather bad, with John Travolta. After a while into the movie, the whole house went dark, and we realized that the electricity had gone. We all rejoyced and brought out candles that we lit and a monopoly game, and then we sat there playing monopoly until late in the night in the light of burning candles. That was comfy indeed.
On saturday Aron woke us up early with his usual good, über entuciastic, mood. I got up with him, leaving mommy to sleep for a while longer. Made breakfast for me and Tanja, and then sat down on a couch, with Aron on the floor, and watched a Asterix movie from '68 that I got on my birthday. After a while Arons grandmother woke up and started playing with him. It was a good start of the day.
In the evening the house got invaded by relatives who came for dinner and to see the baby. It was nice, a lot of people and good food. At one point my sister convinced me to come out and make some snow-angels in the snow. There was not much snow, but the angels turned out nicely.
On sunday we got up, ate breakfast, took a shower and ate again and headed back to Vaasa.
We drove directly to church and the sunday service, and it was great! Lots of great people, some people from a lokal newspaper, an American I had not met before, a child's blessing, and all cool things.
After the service we drove to Tanjas parents church to attend a concert they had there. It was nice, a lot of people form Angola and so on. More food after the concert was consumed.
After all that we finally came home, read some emails and headed off to bed.
It was a good weekend, but I am oh so tired!
Hope you had a great weekend as well!

Daydreams
I'll start by explaining the picture of Max Cavalera. From the time that I was a small boy all the way to high-school, or secondary blaha whatever school, he was my role model. He was cool, humble and made great music. And as many other kids I dreamt of becoming a rock-star, sometimes I still find myself doing that. But with no musical talent whatsoever I am slowly realizing that I will never become a rockstar.
The daydreams I still carry with me would be to become either a full time comic artist, or an author. I imagine I would enjoy both occupations immensely. But! To become either you need to start out early, practice like a maniac, and have some talent for it. Then you also need a fantastic imagination. I may have some talent, I have some imagination, but it feels like it's getting too late to start doing either. But it's always nice to have dreams.
Soo, back to reality and take a look around, as was once said in an Insane Clown Posse song. I am today 23 years old. I am married to a wonderful woman. I have a wonderful son. I have a good job. I have almost completed a rather hard education. I am somewhat healthy, depending on who you compare me with. I have great family surrounding me, have you ever heard about nightmare-parents-in-law? Well, my parent in laws are just the greatest!
Well, to sum it up. My life is rather satisfactory, don't take this the wrong way now. I am happy. I have everything I need. Maybe my daydreams just are a part of my perfect life! =)
So, now, when I have realized that my life is all it has to be, I have only one thing left to do. The purpose with my whole existance and life, to serve God. But that is also a tricky part, with daydreams of one would like to do and what one in reality actually do, and third, what God actually wants me to do.
But on the whole, life is exciting.
PS. My next post will most probably be about tattoos! Stay tuned!

To Air Is Human
One Man's Quest to Become
the World's Greatest Air Guitarist
For my birthday I got an interesting-looking book by my dear friends Jimmy and Sini. It is written by Björn Turoque, pronounced as B-yooorn To-RAWK. It is about air guitar and Björns quest to become the best air-guitarist in the world.
It seems like playing air guitar has become a complicated artform of itself. And I haven't start reading the book yet, but it sure seems to be interesting!
“Björn Türoque is so good that people with real guitars now have contests to see who can do the best
imitation of his air guitar imitation.”
—Malcolm Gladwell, author of Blink & The Tipping Point
"In To Air Is Human, Dan Crane (nom d’air Björn Türoque) does for the air-guitar world what George Plimpton’s gonzo-journalism Paper Lion did for football....Beneath the Nietzsche quotes, laced-up leather pants and obsessive pop-culture asides, Türoque emerges as a sympathetic sage. "
—TimeOut New York
Will be an interesting read indeed, will let you know more when I'm finnished!
BTW, the World Championships in Air Guitar takes place in Finland! Ouh, Yeah! m/ (",) m/

First Snow
Last friday we had the first snow coming down covering the whole landscape in white. It was nice, it was cold, it stirred up a lot of feelings inside of me. Both bad and good.
But nonetheless it's the first snow.

Happy Birthday Party
Yes, my birthday party came and went. I cooked 10 liters of wok for about 25 people. It was a fun time, even if I ran around like a headless chicken and only got the chance to exchange a few words with every person. There were some people that i don't get see that often also, and it was great having them over.
Even Aron had some friends come over, they don't really pay that much attention to each others yet, but there is communication going on, like stealing erh.. Nappies, Pacifiers? Those things that keep babies silent?
Well, it all went great and it was all fun!
