Manual Labor
Ah, it must be a gift from God!
Just running around carrying stuff. It's great exercise, time goes fast and you can think about things just about enough to clear your mind.
Not much time to think about blog related stuff though.
But anyway, manual labor must be a really good thing.
I don't have to think much about exercising after work hours anymore, as that was kind of a problem while I was working at the office.
I had 100 m to walk to work, then I sat there for 8 hours and went home.
At home I played around with Aron and maybe we went out shopping or playing in the sandbox.
Not too much exercise in other words.
I didn't really feel right about taking time from the family just to go out running or go lifting weights at the gym either.
But now I get go around carrying heavy stuff for a whole year, without much responsibility or too much effort from my brain either.
Sometimes it can get a bit too tough though. The building, in which I work, is 5 stories high, and the elevator is being re-built. So it's 4 months of carrying heavy stuff up and down SEVERAL steps of stairs.
I also help out a restaurant here to carry their deliveries when they come.
It can consist of deliveries of food up to 300 kg that has to be carried up the stairs to the 2nd floor.
For helping out they usually give me coffee and food, which is very valuable to someone doing civil service.
So that's about it for today.
Tomorrow there will be more miscellaneous ramblings for you to read!

Ah yes, working out by carrying stuff. That's always good. I did the same for seven summers between school when I worked in landscaping. It really does well to keep you in shape. Hey just think of how massive those legs will be after going up and down those stairs so much. They'll be like tree trunks, man!

Hello again Mauritz! I decided to comment in english because I feel stupid when commenting in finnish because everything in here is in english. And I guess you understand swedish and english better than finnish. Nice to hear your time goes fast and you have not much to worry about. I also enjoy my time in the University of Jyväskylä. I also do deliveries every once in a while but not so often... my tasks are mainly on PC (I do administrative work, www-content updates, PC-support etc. etc). I took holiday (just "took holiday" can you imagine?) for this week. People in my place have been very nice, they treat me like their own :) but anyway, have a nice autumn. Greets, Roni from Jyväskylä.
