Midsummer Came and Went

38fb1f37b10fb57c6a312c97f3cb58ca.jpg

This was probably the calmest midsummer eve we've ever had, and probably the first one that wasn't spent at my grandparents summer cottage.
Instead we were at Tanja's mother's house and grilled some meat and pancakes.
But it was really nice and Aron enjoyed himself and Léa was calm all day.
She is by the way a very calm baby, mostly eat, sleep and poop all day long.

Had some trouble with the paintjob on the car but it seems to be clearing up now.
It's still a nice car in my opinion.

This coming weekend we'll all head down to my parents place and at the same time we'll probably spend some time at the summer cottage.

We'll see.
At the moment it's rainy and cold outside.
But midsummer was sunny and nice.

Family, car and don't download...

Now Tanja and Léa has been home for a couple of days (my wife corrected me and informed me that our daughter's name is spelled Léa and not Lea) now, and we're getting the feel of life with two children.

So far things are going fairly well, everyone is in good health, we have been able to sleep somewhat good during the nights and Aron hasn't shown any signs of being overly jealous towards the new member of the family.

Now we just hope that things keep on going well.

Yesterday was also the first time we as a family went to the playgrounds together, Aron enjoyed it immensely after several days of rain and hospital visits.

On a sidenote, we bought a new car last friday.
I'm a bit nervous about it still, but I thank God for it and hope it was a good deal.
It's the biggest economical decision we've made so far in our married life and it's an experience.
I hope it will serve us and others well and that it will keep going for many many years.
In only three years it will be completely paid for. :)

And as an ending to this here post, an alternative disclaimer regarding the evil crime of downloading:

Baby Coming Home

e337cc101c610fd152b6a76e87c80a6f.jpg

So, tomorrow Tanja and Lea will come home.
It is quite different this time compared to when Aron was born, that time I could prepare the home and make everything look nice and polished.
This time I'm happy if the place doesn't look like a complete bombsite with a jealous little big brother going half berserk.

And I have no idea how you take care of two kids, I mean one kid could sometimes be hard, how you do handle two of them?
But I've seen others do it, so I guess it's totally possible.

Well, anyway, I'll report along the long path of parenthood while we stride along it.

Lea has seen the light!

So, I'm still a bit shaky and tired but I'll try to write something here now.

Tanja was in pain this morning.
Grandma picked up Aron at 12:00.
Tanja took two Panadols (think aspirin).
We came to the hospital at 13:30.
Lea was born at 13:59.

She weighed 4125 grams and was 51 cm tall.

It all went so fast, we actually jumped over a step in the procedure that Tanja hates.
It's when you have to lie on a bench and they measure the contractments(?).
We went straight to the room and she gave birth being totally like superwoman.

I didn't even have time to be dizzy.

She is beautiful and I'm very happy about being a dad, again! :D

EDIT: I forgot to write that it also went very well, both Tanja and Lea are feeling fine!

Check Your Oven!

Before you use it, especially if you have small children in your house.

We were supposed to eat oven baked french fries with fish fingers, but we also got a side-dish with ambulance to go with it.

The food got thrown away and we had to make some fast maccaronies instead.

Btw, anyone knows of good ways to get a melted ambulance out of the oven?
I can tell you that it was stuck pretty hard...

Summer is awesome!

Especially when the weather is as sweet as it is now!
It has never been easier being a parent than now, being on vacation and having such a blessed weather.
Today we rose, ate breakfast and headed out.
Outside we played football, basketball and then went to visit a friends (ateljé?) workshop/gallery thingamojingy.
After that we went to the beach and threw stones into the ocean and then headed to a playground.
Then home to make food and prepare Aron for his nap.

Btw, Aron has an interesting definition of out.
Out is the outside, we go out, but when we open the window "out" comes in.
So whenever we open a window we let the "out" in. :)

I love letting the out in during summer.

It's finally summer!

8a384f8ce55a846dbbcfcc51aecc6cda.jpg

The weather has finally become warmer and nature has come alive.
We can have the windows open all the time and you and go out in the same clothes you have on inside.
I love it and Aron most certainly loves it.
And what's best is that I'm on vacation!
I have the whole of June free!
Weee!

And no, the baby hasn't come yet.
The expected time for it's arrival is tomorrow, Wednesday.
